Summer fading to Fall, day fading to night, fog giving way to light
Wispy tendrils of fog reach relentlessly in through any space they can find
A colorless sun attempts in vain to rise above the mist
Sound is both dulled and carried farther through almost solid walls of the whiteness
The morning lurks within, striving to be released from its murky prison
The sun finally climbs high enough to dissipate the cloudy moisture and cast its hues across the land
The sentinalistic pines are the first to greet the newborn suns’ rays this dewy morn
Its journey through the day complete, the sun starts to prepare for its nightly slumber
Smears of white speckle the otherwise blue sky
Freshly blended ochre bleeds down into the rapidly dimming green of summer
Crunchy blades of grass and vapors of breath signal the coming of fall
A lone orange light in a sea of purple
As the vibrant green of the day has been drained into black
