This is the first prompted poem I've written.
Dear future self,
I know that you have moved on
From petty high school things.
And I know that you are probably
Trying to forget
But everyone says these
Are the best years of your life.
So keep me in your mind
While you continue on your endeavors
And let my mistakes
Make you a better person.
You are strong,
And beautiful
So don't ever forget that.
Learn to love yourself
Before you love others
You'll make it through
I promise
