A woman wondering where her childhood dreams went wrong.
I looked into the mirror and this is what I seen,
The little girl I used to be looking back at me.
She asked a simple question,
"where did it all go wrong?"
"how come they can't accept my being independent and strong?"
I really couldn't answer
I simply couldn't say,
Why all the lovers from the past took my trust away.
Our strength and independence aren't all we have to give,
We have such love and adoration for the one who makes us live.
To make them smile, to help them cry to help them grow and be,
Everything in their minds they truly want to be.
The little girl in the mirror is only ten years old but in her heart she truly knows she doesn't want to die alone.
