I may not have been there.
When it rains, I’m bound to drown
Copy, pasted and sinking into interior

The prescribed line never existed
and the doctor’s claim to fame is
that my lungs sing mainstream

You’re right about everything
No one wants you till you’re you, mi dulce

There’s not enough pills in this parking lot alone to kill off
every side of me I wore out

But, it doesn’t hurt to try

Reason lost its voice a handful ago
Now all I want are these four syllables
for my own

I fell in love
with your idea of me

Columns keep falling

There’s no sign they’ll give up on
thrusting through the roof of this anytime soon
and if my eyes were not so medicated
by this blurry point,

I’d sit on my riches off the times the
concrete was hit with the beat

Conclusion brews that maybe God knows he is what the nonbelievers want him to be

Him and I,
you and now what used to be me
bearing in the same flesh

I haven’t won anything but this extinction
