simple poem using ABAB
Discontent settles in my mind
Happiness is so subjective
Trying to find what to find
My methods are ineffective

The earth keeps me alive
Not things, but people
What does it mean to survive?
My thoughts are so feeble

Abstractions draw confusion
Nothing can truly connect
Reality’s a delusion
What an effect

All I want is satisfaction
Something I can accept
To be moved to action
All I want is respect
