Relating life's struggles, the the journey's of the old Pioneers
What has happened to the pioneers?
Those few that conquered unknown fears?
I’d like to think myself one
Alone in a hostile land without gun
No markers, I blaze headlong
Not knowing my paradise till it’s gone
I shall try to make shelter in this hostile place
Isolated from a familiar face
I will make a life here
Abandonment seems a bit queer
Struggling, No nourishment to thrive
“But living is for those alive.”
Striking flint to stone
I know that I am alone
The fire guards, and attracts
Those that would make attacks
I am here and forgotten
But, not found downtrodden
Dawn comes and I push forward
Milk & honey I travel toward
When finally I meet my destination
I will welcome rest without hesitation
