the message life would we used words to retaliate.

If words were weapons would there be war between countries
would nuclear weapons of destruction be needed if words
were weapons would nine eleven have proceeded what
would they mean as if we don't seem to know the answer
to our own sanity.

If words were weapons, would they teach hate or unity
for the community could the words kill us in an instant
like bullets that have been wielded overnight to destroy
whatever life still exist in the world's mist could they
shower us in pain or sorrows mist.

If words were weapons is love the message that we
hear our will the words pierce our hearts and open
the windows to our souls and darken our minds like
coals before they become ash white .

If words were weapons would the death rise over
our tears why must these words show us hate
could this possibly be the state of our fate
breaking our inner beings.

If words were weapons would we still waste
our time on political suggestions and air
consuming conversation's that end up in
the back of our memory.

Is it possible that slavery would have never
happened would the civil war be history so
I guess thinking before we speak would be
wise instead of speaking death before time
arrives.
