Pictures show us the story, words tell it. The Syrian Revolution continues.
Faces masked in green, white, black
Fiery stars shining like a waving flag

Wrapped in the revolution’s shroud
The flag hides the dead from the crowd

A 2-year old girl joins the conversation
Bashar destroyed my home, she tells the nation

One solid, flowing flag, for all
One people, big and small, short and tall

One, two, three, four, five small ones
Put into body bags, daughters and sons

Martyr after martyr wrapped in white
Carried on shoulders, lost for the fight

This is a peaceful protest, a sign reads
We want a just leader, that actually leads

Young men with spirits that never cease
The people’s self-appointed police

Blood > money, on walls in graffiti
We want him gone, gone, no treaty

The lion with footsteps across his face
It’s only a matter of time for his replace

Girls that are eight, nine, ten, eleven
Seeking freedom or a step up to heaven

F-R-E-E-D-O-M
All this hate, we do condemn

This is the revolution, we are the revolution
We are faces, with homes, from different places
Not numbers, not statistics, not random logistics
Children with lives, husbands and wives, but who survives?
It’s a lion against mice, fire meets ice, payment – the ultimate price
Another one of His tests, for God is always with the oppressed

North, South, East, West – we will not rest

This is the revolution, we are the revolution
We will free our Syria, she will be free
Demashq to Halab to Homs to Hama
Every rock, every tree, from land to sea
We will free our Syria, she will be free.
