Just personal views about the passage of life. It showcases a gamut of feelings in brief
When I was really young, I recall
Feeling secure elated and all.
My whole world had this charm
It was insulated from harm
A dream, a fairy tale
To charm, Life did not fail
Happy outing and endings
Laughter, fun never ending
A series of trips back and forth
To the club and movies!
Hide and seek with siblings
The luxury of attendants,
On exquisite vacations,
more of love and pampering.
Life was a mammoth fair,
It ended abruptly,
that was not fair.

Then Adolescence rocked my world
Laughter and thrill
They danced and twirled
In my world.
I recollect so much of joy
along with some pain
A myriad of incidents;
So much experience to attain.
A giant Kaleidoscope of colours,
The joy and hope I gave to others.
Marked by the first thrill
of every experience juvenile;
The intoxication of crushes,
And the bitter sweet pain of
first love and its nettles.
They were dizzying heights,
But farewell youth, alas
Why did you have to fade?

Becoming an adult, ushered in
plenty of promise and hope.
Initially, it was wonderful
Slowly I realized one had to cope,
At times, the tension felt like a tightrope
‘Cause freedom always comes with a price
Shuttling between job hunting and love,
I had to implore aid from above,
‘All that glitters is not gold,’
Suitable adage for adulthood.
The flow of time was too swift
To enjoy the solace of friends.
Marked only by routine and care,
So I’m learning,
‘ happiness is a state of mind’
This, with you I had to share
