A love poem.
I could say roses are red and violets are blue,
But I’m trying to do something more special for you.
So special that it leaves a scar on your brain
That was made by a cut trying to drive you insane.
Insane as in hooked,
Not “stalker” hooked, but “I like you” hooked.
The “I like you” that doesn’t mean “I like you like you”,
But the “I like you” that makes you smile every time
You receive a text or call from me.
Got you smiling?
It’s my specialty.
Just like making that hug I promised into a reality.
The way I write poems, like this, is only a formality.
If you’re tired of the same old stuff then come taste my originality.
I’m different
I promise
I’ll change the world like my name is Jefferson, Thomas.
I’ll speak to a mirror in the shape of a rhombus,
Find out where Snow White is by using a compass,
Kiss her on the lips,
Then leave a note signed by Mr. Anonymous.
Making you take a journey to come find me,
So that our lips can once more be synonymous.
I told you I’m different.
I’ll take a Disney movie and give it a new light,
Inserting you as Cinderella on her lucky night.
I’ll throw the glass slipper away and replace it with a gold ring.
Knock both of your stepsisters out
And let your fairies sing.

Ok, it’s time to stop flirting and put down my drink.
I want to say what I really mean,
Before my pen runs out of
