Inspired by someone I worked with in NY.Kenny Ross.
Satin
by Sandra L Kleinschmit

A shirt of cloth
Called Satin
Lounged there upon a chair.
Another shirt,called Cotton,
hung close upon on a peg.
Satin preened
and hugged itself
Showed off it's
precious sheen.
Now,Cotton,
On the other hand,
hung sure within
It's worth.
So strong and
Oh,so durable,
to Satin's
shiny skin.
Then,in the washer
On one sunny day
When Cotton was thrown in,
Grabbed Satin
With it when it went.
There is no more to say.
Well,..
Satin came out
rent and torn,
While Cotton came out fine. Then,in the garbage Satin went,
and Cotton on the peg/
