The restless ocean and its waves
The waves seem endless

As I watch them on the beach,

How many shores have they reached

Before they wash ashore?

White caps in the distance

That will never touch land.

Stirred by the endless winds

That are friend or foe at times.

Sailors know their secrets,

As does the captain in a storm.

Many a ship has gone to the bottom-

One mighty wave and it was lost.

But as I lay and ponder,

The serenade of each wave.

I can hear the sailors voices

Who are part of the oceans lore.

We are the dreamers who listen,

As each tide ebbs and flows.

Our imagination is endless,

Much like the waves that touch the shore.
