The poem is comparing life to a caged lion
The wild feline

Living in a world with no direction,

Not knowing what move to make next

Feeling like a lion trapped form freedoms caged door,

I roam my quarters of confined space,

Looking out at the world wondering,

What has life in store for me?

I wonder if I will get to prowl this earth,

Without the consequence of responsibility,

And in turn find the fearsome person within myself

I wonder if my animal instincts will take over,

And lead me to the path I’m meant to follow,

Or if these instincts apply only to the wild felines free to roam the forest
