If one day she stopped breathing, would anyone care at all? Free verse poem
Taught skin stretched over bones,
Her flesh feels too tight.
She moves like a mechanical robot,
Each action revised in her head.

She often finds herself wandering,
Both in dream and reality.
A thin barrier seperates them,
She often can't tell what's nightmare and life.

Covered in a pale casing but with bright blue eyes,
Her smile doesn't seem fake.
Although she has people to sit with,
To trust is embed in any of them.

Many times she wants to end it,
And you wouldn't believe how many times she's tried.
A gun to her head, too many pills,
Finding a bridge and standing over the edge.

She would never wish this fog upon anyone else,
Even the people she truly hates.
She's forced to act happy,
Please the world around.

If one day she stopped breathing, would anyone care at all?
