A young boy has made the mistake of a life time.
A racing heart.
Thundering steps.
Splashing mud.
Quickened breath.

I grab the cold metal;
The chain-link fence rattles.
I keep a constant speed,
And launch myself over.

The sirens blare.
My heart might explode.
It seemed like his death,
Was so long ago.
