Swirling pools
Of madness and truth
The bottom of her eyes
Like the endless sky
Forever can be seen
Emptiness does bleed
Life, no longer a spark
But an extinguished flame
Smoldering remnants
Of all that use to be
In the ground she will be
Death is her new home
Her new God of circumstance
I did not kill her
How could I ever
I was there when she died
She spoke her final words to me
What she said will be kept
Such a promise of silence
Is not meant to relent
She stood upon the edge
Backwards facing she leapt
Spiraling down into madness
Her death, like her life
Was a brutal spectacle of excess
Before she went
Before she escaped this world
For a most final of time
I looked deep into
The bottom of her eyes
Everything that she was
And all that she was not was there
She showed no fear but rather relief
A sense that she was about to be free
As sad as I knew I would be
I was happy that she was finally
Going to be so unequivocally at ease
Never again would she suffer
Never again would she bleed
Those lonesome night screams
Would be replaced by the silence
Of an end of her own means
She fell into her choice
She went without fear or concern
I wish I had the strength she had
I have since remained
Secrets kept
I remember all that she was
And all that she was not
I could see it in her eyes
I could see it in the depths
Of her fragile being…
