A poem written to show that a bond doesn't have to be smashed.
Thrown out, misunderstood.
No place that is steady, dependable.
No place to guarantee a safe retreat.
Give him a home that he knows will be there always.
Give him love that will look after his bruised heart.
Why abandon him?
Why pull his feelings down?
He deserves so much more.
So much more.
He was your son, a bond that is unbreakable
Yet was smashed in cold shame.
On you.
Now the Father who is alive does the same.
Lessons remain ignored by the parent.
Yet harshly learned by the son.
Shame on those who are too selfish to treasure
What they have left.
I understand, yet cannot give you back
What was lost.
All I can offer you is my loyalty.
I will love and respect you
To the end.
That, if you need can be your
Safe, Steady and Dependable retreat.
This is a bond that will not be smashed in cold shame.
On them.
Unconditional, Brother
