..................
Her eyes stare deep into mine,

searching my soul but i have no disguise.

Looking for that word that phrase that will tear me down most.

But all she needs to do is say one word,

one negative word and that will send me crashing,

crashing like a wave on the beach

over and over the same thing.

Those disapproving glances,

the talk behind me,

one word after another

but i always come back.

See because i can't leave no matter how her words, like knives, stab me in the back.

Does she not see my pain? or does it give her a kind of power over me,

the helpless girl looking up at her as her eyes search me in and out.

How much can i take before i'm spinning out of control

into a bottomless hole that i can't come out of.

That no one can save me from.

She looks at me

up and down

with those beautifully evil brown eyes

and with that sleek smile she says it,

whore,

my drop through this deep black hole takes me faster

farther.

Like alice in wonderland

hitting everything along the way

until i stop.

in my own little world

i'm safe,

safe from her words,

her looks,

her eyes.

In wonderland i will stay

for the pain is no longer there.

This confusing world unknown to me

where i will be invisable

until someone cares to come find me.
