My first attempt at a Boonstra Brain Function Form poem for a poetry contest.
My mind whispers secrets in my ear as I lay awake.
I beg it to stop, but the whispers keep coming.
If I don't believe the whispers, they aren't real,
"but you believe" my mind says.
I clench my eyes shut.
The whispers
Laugh.
