Description of what sleep means to me.
Sleep is a lovely bridge to the morrow
A temporary break from our sorrows.
It is relaxing at your pace and will
and becoming very very still.
SLEEP is like flying on a magic carpet
To another world of the unknown
So welcoming, it takes away your breath
It’s the sweetest thing on this earth
The Bard of Avon called it sore labour’s bath,
Balm of hurt minds and Chief nourisher in life's feast."
Sleep renews and refreshes us
and keeps at bay, our stress.
We enter into a world of our own when we fall asleep
the more the fatigue the more blissful the sleep.
Inviting appears my bed,
after all is done and said.
Sleep lets us escape into a splendid haven
mysteriously by dreams woven.
Sleep brings the hope of a new day
From the one to whom we pray
Sound sleep beautifies me
I wake up without feeling
I have had insufficient sleep
Wakefulness and evil dreams
are the enemies of sleep,
for this a watch I’ve got to keep
Oh! but how I love flying and dozing
on the wings of sleep into a beautiful world,
so sweet and seemingly real.
