poem about waiting for someone
For Once-Once Again

The only way to reach him in his saddened clouded faze is to whisper his heart a lullaby until it drifts away, down the quiet stream where it will meet with mine, Together they’ll play tag among the water lilies. Never catching, clinging to or capturing the other but always nonetheless entwined.
Lull his heart with melodies of songs that distract his defenses, lyrical word rhymes that puzzle, confuse and occupy his mind.So he won’t remember the heartbreaks of his past, of women who destroyed his trust, forgetting too late, all the twisted rules taught to him by a woman who still enjoys keeping him from my arms.
If he could, if only for a moment, He’d be safe, without reservation, without question. Be free and reckless, be truly in love with pure abandon and just be with me, alone, in the silence of his song.Yet, he’s too engulfed in the pain to hear my whisper call

Still, he writes to make others think-for once
Now, I write to make him feel-once again
