Unattended
and crumbling.
Prose builds up-
Breaks down your guard,
frightens you.
Words circle around-
and drop,
apocalyptic cloud.
Sending everyone into evacuation,
Keeping you up at night,
sharpening your pencil.
Haunted, haunting.
Punctuated heartbreak.
Verbs move,
Leaving scorned lovers.
