Painful memories never go away
I wish I could forget
Snap my fingers and it would go away
Never to be thought of again
Only thoughts of happiness would fill my head
All the pain would be gone

I wish I could forget
But it never goes away
The thought is always there
Shadowing my happy thoughts
The pain like a stab reopening the wound

Please tell me how to forget.
