How hard are you willing to fight for love?
Who will?

You entered my world just as quickly as you left;
Without warning, a greeting or a proper exit.
Where did you come from-I asked myself.
Wait, you were standing there all along?
How come I didn't see you?
Were you hiding? Did you make yourself known?
No- you didn't.
You came in quietly, just as you tried to exit.

Worlds of two different pasts collided;
Making an evolution of something that was mimicked once before.
I tried to walk, run, skip or fly out of this,
But the gravity of the quicksand caved in so quickly;
Sucking me in deeper and rapidly- just as you left.

"Help me, help me," I say....you turned ever so slowly;
Gently holding out your hand.
I reached up to meet your fingertips...but I came up short.
You extended your muscular arm even further towards me;
But it was too late...
I sunk deeper into the folds around me, that it seemed helpless to try.

Why didn't WE try harder I wonder?
Was there something pulling on the other end?
And so, the tug of war begins....

Who will push or pull harder?
Who will fight till the last bead of sweat has dropped?
Who will shed the last tear?
Who will breathe the last breath to be taken?
Who will?

Who will?.....
