The Horror Is My Reflection
The Horror Is My Reflection

I look in the rearview mirror and the horror is my reflection

Can't seem to look away, felt as though I had to cause self-affliction

It's as though I have tunnel vision with one eye blinded

Darkness encloses around me, suffocation is setting in, mouth being binded

Freedom of speech leaves this home and body

Law enforcement turn their heads and have a party

I won't be the one to partake in this soirée of disbelief

Justice must come to those caricatures of a fallen leaf

Covered by the rushing waters ignorance begins to sink their lead hearts

That's when sharks bite and feed on the abnormal smarts

The crimson tide smells of liars and cheats

This is the working man biggest problem and defeat

The brain's hemispheres are nothing more than segments of sorrow

Give me liberty, free me from the beggar's borrow

I'm trapped, will anyone help me get away

This imprisonment within my head is on its way to decay
