This is a poem I wrote, I just want the opinions of people.
I see Death
Its plump fingers point toward me
Its boots, shiny black, sparkle in the dusty hospital,
Its red symbol on the shoulder seems to speak to me, like it wants to kill me immediately,
I just want to ask Death in his glowing black helmet and uniform some questions
Do I not get a chance?
Do I not live like you, Death?
What is the difference between you and me?
But he does not respond, making me think if this is all in my head,
These white and blue striped pajamas,
These ovens that seem to be on all day
People that you know and love, seem to be there one day, gone the next.
This is a dream, right Death?
Death just stands up points out his fat finger toward me and motions to me,
And like an executioner chopping his head, Death slowly, but gracefully moves his finger to the showers
Oh Death, do you not think I am ready for this?
When I came here, did you not think I was ready for the fiery liquids of Hell?
Oh Death, you think I fear you, but it is the opposite,
No Death, I accept you, and whatever fate that you give to me
Yes your fellow devils may laugh at me, but you, you with your fat belly, and your privileged ways,
You have not done what I’ve done, seen what I’ve seen,
Death, have you starved enough to see your skin melt into a milky substance?
Have you seen yourself wherever you go?
No, I have accepted my fate a long time ago
As your liquids run over me, I will join you happily like an old friend,
Because, I was already here with you.
