One of my favourite poems to write. Hope you enjoy my Hunger Games fan poem!
District 12

I walk amongst the district
Of the dead
In grievance I slowly
Bow my head

This District used to be
My home
But now its ghosts solemnly
Roam

The Hob, It had been over
There
My way of life for many
A year

The bakery was Peeta's
Place,
At his name a tear rolls down
My face

My old house, it is also
Gone
To memories I still
Hold on

And yet the Victors Village
Stands
Was that part of Snow's evil
Plans?

Corpses line roads and
Lanes,
Killed as they ran from bombing
Planes

The faces that I
recognise
I look upon with
Guilty eyes

I'm walking back to leave
This place
Though after me the ghosts
Do chase

Someday I will return
Again
Maybe the ghosts won't
Haunt me then
