A simple poem inspired by listening to the Deftones and watching Dexter.
I'm tired and broken, enraged and outspoken
Don't know who, what, why, when or how
But here's for the knowing, release from the choking
But it still persists throughout me now

Judge me not for who I am today
Not for the hunger I tend to display

I'm just a disguise, and you're just my prize
A memory of another time
A small quiet road, a humble abode
It's a place to hide inside my mind

Judge me not for who I am today
And not for the hungers I have to display
I must hide out here in plain sight
Because the darkness belongs inside

Hidden alone out here in plain sight
Hidden alone out here in plain sight
Keeping me hidden somewhere deep inside
I'm hidden alone somewhere in my mind
