Regret and retrospective.
In velvet cloak I hid you well,
From eyes unseen, unwanted.
To keep you for myself,
Inside myself you're haunted.

But yo, thee, my fair,
Your dark ignorance creeps.
And as your smile gloomily fades
My eyes gently weep.

For now and then the cloak,
Reveals what's underneath.
A dirty, tethered skull,
My dreams were hid beneath.

Too shaken to put thee down,
So hard to look at thee,
I ripped open my chest.
A bed for you to rest.

Before you leave me.
