Poem About Love
The summer rain slips off you
calm, surrendering to it's fate
It warms, but brings a dampness
a cool that is not easily shook
Vibrant hues of red and yellow
dance, tickle your cheeks
just in time for the shine
of a quiet, pleased smile
Brown hair, chestnut in color
curls and length surround
those snow storm eyes
as color turns white
with passing time and year
However, a small flicker remains
knowing that spring is near
a spark of life
a hint a youth
a flower of springtime
hidden away is the sparkle
of the twilight in your eyes.
