A reminder that I'm never alone.
He sits alone in the corner of his bedroom
It's dark out and he's looking for some truth
A million thoughts are racing through his mind
At a miles an hour the truth is hard to find
With his head buried in his hands he begins to weep
As the tears fall from his eyes, he cries himself to sleep

He's having a breakdown
There's nobody around and he's alone
He's crying out
Oh God where are you now in this despair?
He needs to feel your love
Needs to feel your presence
Needs to know that you're here

Home from work again, he collapses to the floor
Under the weight of all his pain he can't take this anymore
He begins to cry again for the third time in a week
Silence drowns out his words, his voice quivers as he speaks
Here he is again, down here on his knees
Searching for truth again, praying to be free

He's having a breakdown
There's nobody around and he's alone
He's crying out
Oh God where are you now in this despair?
He needs to feel your love
Needs to feel your presence
Needs to know that you're here

Son, please don't cry, everything will be alright
This battle is not your own, you don't have to fight
Step out of your dark mind, embrace the light
Put your faith and trust in God tonight

He's having a breakdown
There's nobody around and he's alone
He's crying out
Oh God where are you now in this despair?
He needs to feel your love
Needs to feel your presence
Needs to know that you're here
