This is not a typical poem it was written in spoken word form.
Baby mama
yes now that's me
baby mama a term used so negatively
baby mama no nobody wants to be.
How could this be you married me,
now it's her an not me
telling you how to deal wit me.
Me plus 3 how did we come to these terms
it use to be you plus 4 but that's no more.
To hear you say at the end of the day
that's jus my baby mama
an she is so full of drama
is now my reality.
It was your heart I never owned
an even tho you an I could never be,
an have moved on respectfully
it is 4 ever in my destiny
to be the one you married
& who carried your 3.
Now divorced, & happily
you look at her
in a way you never saw me.
Yes I am someones baby mama
you see
the term that is so envied by the woman who is his destiny.
You see
even tho that's not in me
to be the crazy, dramatic, over bearing, child support pursuing, bitter baby mama
it is after all
the only way you see me.
But I the woman who bore your 3
you see to
society an more importantly
to you an her
I am sadden to be so negatively known as
just your baby mama!
