A poem from my heart to my son
Many struggles we've had in the past,

I'm grateful our anger never lasts.

From errors to pardons since the time of our start

I love you, my son, with all of my heart.

You work day after day out in the real world.

Just as you should, you take care of your little girl.

To all of creation I say it aloud,

You're a man that makes a mother proud!

Twenty-one years ago you became my first born.

Ball caps, jerseys, and jeans you would adorn.

It seems like yesterday I brought you home.

And now you've grown with a family all your own.

Farewell to the past as you embrace your future

I hope all your struggles get fewer and fewer.

I pray all your dreams, in time, come true.

I'm content with you being perfectly you!
