A mere glance may convey more than words could express. Dedicated to those quiet moments.
I am watching her watch me stare
As the waves of awareness flow.
Minutes pass. We are hardly there,
We are elsewhere, so long ago,
Thinking back to the day we met:
Awkward glances, a quiet smile,
Just two strangers alone, and yet
We decided to chat a while.
Simple moments sometimes give root
To great stories, to quests, romance,
Setting us on a grand pursuit
Of the things we may not confess.
Silence stretches as we recall
What we were, what we are, what's next.
She and I, in our own little world,
So simplistic, yet so complex.
