Something that I spent 10 minutes on, my friend thought I should put it here.
Requiem for Mirrors

It wasn't anger,
Nor sadness,
There exists no singular expression,
No emotion from this lack of tension,

It isn't palpable,
Nor is it definable.
It's a crushing blow,
Defeat.

A sentence of damnation,
Handed down from a jury of mirrors,
The audience of wraiths is a laughing spectacle,
The judge a haunting spectre,
A portrait of what could have been

It is not weakening,
Everything is numb,

The defense chants nothing is wrong,
The prosecution declares the end,
How can I make you see,
This is not how I am?

The darkness is calling me,
Loyalty can't save you now;
A ship sailed so many years ago,
Why cannot you understand,
This is not who I am...

Life is mirrors,
What might have once been,
What should have been,
And what is.
