This poem was written from true life experience. It is about the pain caused by gossip.
Front Street

My life unfolds in chapters. I once was full of laughter, now my smile is seldom captured. My story is told and as it unfolds, one day at a time and another day old.
I do not claim to make sense of it all, there are good times and sometimes I fall. Out of nowhere another curve ball. Around my heart I build a wall. It can never be too tall. More often than not pain comes to call.
My business is on Front Street. That is where my neighbors like to meet. They argue over who gets the front seat. They like to see me grieve. If gossip is the sin you
like to bare, in other folks pain you like to share. Tell my neighbor to save you a chair. Come to front street, you can watch my pain there.
