A simple short poem about a leaf expressing its sorrow after the pouring rain.
The rain washes over the greenery that I hold.

But behold,it doesn't know the agony that I suppress within the veins of my leaves.

It doesn't know the truth that I distrust the ground that I lay bare upon.

It doesn't know the pain of being stepped on.

Yet,the rain drops never fails to embrace me with the coldness that preserves my beauty at the end of the day.

I'm alone.

Though my attachment are in a tight string with other leaves just like myself.

I'm still alone.

I look above and find hope for another new day.

I know someday happiness will mean eternity to me.

But,for today, just today,I only desire peace in my heart in this filthy place I call earth.
