promises run dry
As light succumbs to unruly darkness,
their bodies light the sky,
to descend upon those lowly souls,
empty promises run dry.
Tortured souls look at the sky,
hoping to see the truth,
but inside the truth you so wholly believe,
the lies spring forth anew...
