A poem of Insecure Attachments
Born into a land of strangers,
a little one protests against hidden dangers.
Placed into a Labyrinth of prevarication,
egoism and contemptuous temptation.

A meadow of dreams is were her spirit plays,
her fantasies drift throughout endless days.
There wasn't a shout or an ill spoken word,
the blueprint of life was taught & observed.

The little one watches her parents react,
to each other, the world, and the whispering shack.
The father was a distant General, filled with rage,
her heart grew ingenious behind an iron cage.

The mother ignored the most obvious facts,
she never stops dancing to cover their tracks.
Though riddle, rhymes and the passing of time,
she figured it out, found freedom genuine.

Tormented by truth in disguise,
would she be unwittingly wise?
Was this life foolish or filled with sin?
A land of strangers and a stranger within.
