brief story of a jockey I knew
I've been through the desert with a jock with no name,
couldn 't imagine the shame,
cause in the desert you can't remember your name,
and there ain't no one going give you no fame.

Couldn't get out of the starting gate,
And when you are a jockey, you just can't be late.
A jock with no name,
What a shame.

Working five to five, riding ten head a day,
What can I say.
No fame, for the jock with no name.

The horses don't care,
That you got no name.
What a shame, for a jock with no name.

Your body aches,
You keep your head bowed,
like the horse when you put a bit in its mouth.
The horse needs a jock,
and you need a horse.

You are the jock with no name,
Oh, what a shame.
