It is all a circle, a plexus

Plexus

The next-door neighbor broke up
with his girlfriend today.
The End
says he; it’s over.
Both are family.
Family doesn’t just end.

There’s a party tonight:
Bonfire at
the end
of our road where it
dead ends in the field.
We blew a foot of snow
out of the fire pit area
and loaded it with wood.

I’m writing a poem near
the end
of a month long
writing contest.
I will miss
the daily prompts,
the competition,
the challenge.

A circle,
an infinity sign,
a plexus:
not
a finite boundary.
The end
usually signifies
the beginning
of something else.
It is all
in how you
perceive it.
Can’t wait
to see
what is next!
