wrote this in college when I was in a melancholic mood
War
It all starts out
As quiet and calm
As the eye of the storm
Then starts raging
As it courses through time
People killing one another
Shooting their guns
And throwing grenades
All together evil

War
A profound display of insecurity
Always compensating for something
Small in their lives
The discomfort
Of something that they’re hiding
Something that they’re hiding from

War
It goes on and on
Minute after minute
Hour after hour
Day after day
For weeks or months
or even years
War is hell

War
it all starts out
as quiet and calm
as the eye of the storm
our boys and girls
sent over seas
to fight for our freedom
for the USA
Protecting our flag
Protecting our people
Protecting our freedom
Our right to be alive
Risking their lives
The truly brave

War
What can I say
No good ever comes of it
The eruption of corruption
The corruption of conformity
You have to stand for what you love

Or go down in the fight
You have the choice
Do what you want
But I do know this
War Is HELL!!!
