a wee poem I wrote after George Harrison left us.
ALL THESE YEARS AGO

It was more than your guitar that wept today,
Where have you gone George, where did you go?
Are you swimming in the Ganges like you did,
All these years ago.

You gave more than just 'Something' to our world,
The Bangladesh concert was a great show.
Are you still humming mantras like you did,
All these years ago.
All things must pass -- and they always do,
The world is now poorer George,
Because it no longer has you.

Does the sun still shine in your garden?
Where birds nest and wild flowers grow.
Have you met your sweet Lord, like you did,
All those years ago.
All things must pass --- and they always do,
The world is a sadder place today,
Because George; ----- it no longer has you.

Maybe you’re somewhere in Hawaii,
Relaxing in your rocking chair.
Having found love and peace,
And saying another prayer.
All things must pass---and they always do,
Today the world is a worse off place,
Because George,……. it no longer has you.
