Love always has a cost, but what cost are we giving for love?
Nicole,
I see you.
I see you every night, I see you every day,
I see you in your private moments, and I am here to stay.
As I am an 'unwanted guest', I figure I should make it up to you, my Beloved Everything,
so I leave for you, a box of presents from me, you can keep anything.
A severed limb from my right leg,
shows how much I work for you, like a puppy I will beg.
My eyes, which I gouged out with a fork,
to show I will watch you, through all your work.
A hand off my left arm, waving at you,
I raise it up, promising I speak true.
Most Importantly, my heart, beating strongly,
proves how much I believe you belong to me.
         Love,
                    Anonymous.
