about taking inventory of life and self
One day I found myself

on walkabout within My Self

And I was shocked by

My inner terrain.

Litter tossed about

Everywhere scattered memories

Bits of broken dreams

Unfinished projects

Misplaced thoughts

Pieces of things long past

Left behind for another day.

All shuffled-about

Harnessed bits of chaos

These things I’ve packed away.

I go walkabout within

My Self and Me my only companions

Taking inventory.

Setting out to cleanse space

Requires determination,

Perseverance,

Tenacity and creativity.

I set out!

Radically clearing spaces

Of unacceptable energies

Unnecessary processes

Outmoded habits and crumbling structures.

I was unmindful of probabilities

That alterations to my path

Therefore changes the paths’ of

Those traveling beside me.

Had I been aware I might have

Given some warning

Or possibly had some.

At the time ~ I had naught!

The landscape of ME has forever transformed.

I’ll understand if you no longer

Recognize the terrain.

This path I traverse must be

Only as I see it

No longer will I set my pace

For those who journey beside me

Even now

With the knowledge that some

May not keep up.

The process of discovery

Discourages expectation of that

Which is being discovered and

I have no control over these changes

Only over how I choose to change.

Today I still find myself on

Walkabout within My Self.

I am hoping to find you beside me

Sometimes ... somewhere

Along my way.
