when a flower dies
All the bright dandelions
Along the roads and in the fields
Their yellow pedals of gold
Each in its own stage of life
Showing vibrant colors reaching for the sun.

As the days pass and the days grow longer
The gold fades and turns to white
Soon the dandelions release their white pedals into the air
Where they frolic and dance and swirl like snowflakes
On a hot summer day

Knowing that their short life is almost over
They soon land
To be reborn again
Continuing the cycle of life.
