inspired by a photo of the salt river in Star Valley, Wyoming
I see the water, so clear and pure
that through the ripples you see the bottom
with all the small stones.
I see the water, so cold, so brisk
to stand in it makes me numb
it's so still and calm,
so peaceful,
flowing gently
clear and pure
