a 1600's background of love, betrayal and death. Dark poetry
Within the corridors behind the grey walls,
lay the faded footsteps, some are centuries old.
In the tower high above is,
the silawet of two people making love.
way below amoung the drafts of
below zero tempertures ly those condemned
the stench of rotting corpses
lingers throughout the dungeon.
Outside the towering walls
within the shadows of the trees
the lonely cry of a wolf
breaks the silence of darkness.
A carriage comes almost
unheard along the winding road.
The carriage comes into the
front of the mansion.
As he steps down from
the carriage, she greets
him at the double doors.
His face is pale,
his eyes very dark.
he looks upon her in disgust.
He knows she thinks shes smart.
He pushes her to the side,
her and her lover can
stay in the dungeon till they die.
That was the penalty for adultery
and lies.
the pain felt in this mansion
could break a thousand hearts.
