What would you say to yourself if you go back in time to visit yourself at different ages?
Dear Me, sweet little girl,
I remember how you nurture and play.
I see you rock your babies, sing soft lullabies.
I can still feel your yearning.
I just wanted to let you know
That your dreams will someday come true.

Dear Me, bold young woman,
I remember how you grabbed the world by its tail.
I see you setting out to make your mark.
I can still feel that high.
I just wanted to remind you
Not to lose sight of what matters.

Dear Me, harried young mommy,
I remember the hectic pace.
I see the fatigue haunting your green eyes.
I can still feel the panic of dealing with all those demands.
I just wanted to say,
“This too shall pass.”

Dear Me, woman in your prime,
Do you remember all that you wanted to do?
I see you getting lost sometimes.
I still think you can find your way.
I just wanted you to know
I think you’re doing okay.
