Vengeance

The man over the yard.
His fingers rested on the trigger,
and the wind flew through his soles.
He ignored the whimpering before him,
as his heart was stone cold.
The wind and the sobbing increased,
the man's heartbeat stayed low.
His fingers pulled the awaiting trigger.
His lover's head flew in the snow.
